The Turnhout School

Domestic Modernism

A collaboration between the Belgian architectural centre AR-TUR, the Architectural Archives of Antwerp Province and the Dutch Technical University Eindhoven, the exhibition entitled The Turnhout School – Domestic Modernism showcases Flemish domestic architecture from the 1960s.

During this period, Paul Neefs, Atelier Vanhout & Schellekens en the office of Lou Jansen and Rudi Schiltz worked within the idiom of critical regionalism to produce some of the country’s most enduring residential designs that influence young Flemish architects to this day.

The exhibition is in Dutch.
