High-calibre speakers from the fields of communication, architecture and design will gather at Bregenz Festival House in October for the VLOW! congress. Among the guest speakers will be the Norwegian Kjetil Trædal Thorsen, one of Europe’s most highly regarded architects. He is a founding partner of the architecture firm of Snøhetta, whose head office is in Oslo and whose past projects include the National Opera House in Oslo, Lillehammer Art Museum and the Norwegian Embassy in Berlin. In the field of poster design, the Swiss graphic designer Niklaus Troxler is expected. One of the best known graphic designers, his works may be found in the most important design collections such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Folkwang Museum in Essen. Marian Goodman, one of the core members of the Presencing Institute at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), will be travelling to Lake Constance too. The term presencing – composed of “presence” and “sensing” – designates an innovation process that brings together technology, spirituality and collective intelligence.
