@ Stockholm Furniture Fair

Swedish architect and designer Thomas Bernstrand is presenting a slew of new products, in collaboration with Nola, this week at the Stockholm Furniture Fair.

Our favourite is Share, a portable park chair that can be locked when not in use. A coin-operated system allows users to insert a small amount of change to unlock a chair from the row; when finished resting, the user can push the chair back in place to reclaim his or her coin.

Kajen Planka is a standing bench, inviting the user to rest against the form which encourages better posture. As trends lead people to sit behind desks all day, Kajen Planka works to counter negative aspects of desk chairs by boosting circulation.

Other new products from Nola include the Daisy planter. It's made of lacquer-coated steel, made for both indoor and outdoor use. Handy adjustable feet can compensate for uneven surfaces. Meanwhile, SunSet is an outdoor furniture collection with wooden surfaces that pay homage to typical Scandinavian woodcraft.

For the full new collection, visit Bernstrand & Co.’s website, Nola's site, or the Stockholm Furniture Fair before 11 Februrary.
