What’s the idea behind this project? We use numbers to control and describe all sorts of things. Numbers are everywhere. Time – a process that is truly organic and natural – is one of the things that we consistently define in numbers. I wanted to show the nature of time without using numbers. Does your clock convey a message? All changes that occur are linked to time, and there’s really no need to rush. The knitting clock shows that time is always on the move, changing, developing and producing results. The clock slowly knits a scarf, one round a day. At the end of one year, it will be completed.
