Coupe Armchair

Inspired by fashion design, a stackable armchair has a removable upholstered cover cut like a garment of clothing.
The Coupe Armchair has been created by German studio Läufer & Keichel for Swedish label OFFECCT.
The upholstered cover is made of pure wool that’s knitted together piece-by-piece using a special technique developed specially for Coupe. It’s made of three layers for the backrest, seat and cushion. The cover fits over the chair’s metal frame, while zippers at the bottom seal the fabric with the form.
The chair will launch tomorrow at the Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair (7 to 11 February) during Stockholm Design Week.
