Dior 001 Gun

The Dior 001 gun discreetly hides a lip gloss, pill box, antique hairpin, USB stick and 100 gram sterling silver bar. The gun is made of a nylon body with 18 carat gold details. The piece is an ironic play on vintage spy products, whereby a recording device or lock-pick pin were hidden in makeup packages. Now, the makeup and other modern devices are hidden in the gun. The Dior 001 gun is part of a largest series called 7 Necessities for a Woman (to feel like a woman through the eyes of a man), which will be presented during next week's Design Miami/Basel (14-19 June) at the Ornamentum Gallery. Other pieces in the collection include sunglasses, a bag, helmet, chastity piece, bionic arm and shawl. Originally a jewellery designer, since 2005, Atelier Ted Noten has extended its creations towards interior design projects and installations.
