Halle A by Designliga

Designliga's conversion of a metal-working shop into an office space has resulted in a village of sorts in Munich. The 10.4-m-high hall has been broken up into distinct areas, providing an intimate feel to the large interior.

A pair of ridge-roof buildings comprise two floors of individual offices, contributing to the definition of the hall's structure. These buildings – coupled with the pre-existing foreman’s office, which houses two conference and meeting rooms – allude to a roofed village square.

In keeping with the industrial aesthetic, the colour scheme hints toward the materials and textures used elsewhere in the building by the skilled trade businesses that inhabit the complex, whilst the exposed brick that runs throughout the space has been left untouched.
