Paperboard Architecture

by D’art Design Gruppe

The display was created for the German Pulp and Paper Association’s stand at the Interpack fair, held last week in Düsseldorf. The 96-sq-m area was divided into areas for information, exhibition and meetings. With packing being the focus of the fair, the designers focused on using cardboard as the main material in display construction. A series of thick black dots pasted on top spelled the word ‘board,’ conveying a theme of the fair. These label stickers are typically used as shipping indicators and markers on boxes, but in this instance they worked to enhance the 3D cardboard architecture. This was the fourth time the D’art Design Gruppe was commissioned to create a stand for this client at the fair. The studio is based in Neuss, Germany.
