The first thing guests see when entering the main lobby is the bistro and common area, where employees can eat breakfast and lunch at a long, communal table. The open-concept offices allow employees to easily share ideas and rub-off on one another. The office is divided into four large sub-sections, for various Sid Lee departments. These sections each have their own entrances and unique décor themes. ‘There is no particular concept behind the Sid Lee Montreal atelier,’ says Chief Creative Officer Philippe Meunier. ‘What we tried to achieve was a space where you can sense people’s energy and where one’s first impression is not that of walking into a typical office space.’ Immediately beside the main entrance are the bosses’ offices; large sliding glass doors convey an inviting feel for employees and guests to venture inside. A series of private brainstorming areas each have their own flavour in size, style and purpose. From a ping-pong table to paint brushes and canvas, plus even a table football game, the rooms allow employees to relax from time to time.
