Aesop Fillmore Street by NADAAA
For an Aesop store on San Francisco’s Fillmore street, American studio NADAAA found simplicity among the chaos in a shop constructed from stacked wooden boxes.
The design plays on typical elements of the Aesop stores – muted, earthy colours, understated furniture and shelving, and using the products themselves as décor. Although the recycled boxes, which take up an entire wall, appear to be stacked randomly, they make up a chic game of Tetris. They're also practical - featuring ample storage space and a built-in sink.
The other side of the room is clad in cork and left almost entirely bare, it’s one feature a rectangular bench against golden, softly lit walls.
The Australian cosmetics brand has designers create each of their shops individually. We've covered stores in London, Hong Kong and New York City.
