Famed British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid is best known for her angular, ambitious buildings, but during this year's Salone del Mobile in Milan, she's turned her sights to the little things - a good seat at the theatre.

Array, designed for design furnishings company Poltrona Frau Contract, is an innovative theatre seating unit. Instead of folding vertically, the angular unit is pinned to one corner and emerges horizontally. The result is not only a twist on the seating unit, but changes the entire aesthetic of the theatre itself, shifting depending on the viewer's vantage point.

The unit will be released during the Multiplicities exhibition by Zaha Hadid during the Salone in April, and will be featured alongside two other pieces: the Zephyr sofa and the Liquid Glacial table collection.
