Barber Amsterdam by Ard Hoksbergen
The historic charm of a 19th-century Amsterdam house has been infused with a raw, industrial barber shop.
A simple design, the shaving salon boasts a ‘giant cobweb’ of copper pipes throughout, visually linking sinks and faucets to the ceiling’s track lighting. Some pipes carry water, while others carry electricity. Natural wooden floor beams cover the ground, mixing with pine, leather and concrete accents.
Dutch designer and architect Ard Hoksbergen says it’s a ‘raw but warm atmosphere.’ The Barber brand is dedicated to giving ‘every man some time for himself’ and believe in the luxury of a good old straight razor shave or trim.’
