Just ahead of Milan Design Week, two prominent brands with strong roots in Italian design have announced their plans to merge.

Bathroom and kitchen brand Boffi will acquire the iconic furniture brand De Padova, joining two of the industry's forces of design excellence into a single entity. The strong identities associated with each company will be retained while now offering an additional facet, an integrated platform within the design of interior spaces of both residential and commercial sectors.

The now CEO of both Boffi and De Padova, Roberto Gavazzi states: 'The alliance with De Padova is an important example of how two Italian companies are able to take on new global challenges together by creating an ambitious project of growth in a stable balance of resources and skills.' Boffi's now Vice President and De Padova President, Luca De Padova says 'I believe in synergies on larger projects and in the possibility of creating and opening stores together that will represent both companies at their best. Product taste, the search for a cohesive industrial project, passion and desire to overcome difficulties, make us very close.'

Global challenges will be tackled together, growing their international presence as a team.
