Made of 100 per cent recycled material, the Flaxx Chair is an eco-friendly hybrid design that’s constructed from flax seeds.

Designer Martin Mostböck created a four-legged chair with a unique approach: the legs are twisted in a way that leaves the seat free-standing. Fully recyclable, the chair’s manufacturing is also eco-friendly, as flax is sustainable and CO2-neutral.

‘Flax fibres – with their outstanding mechanical characteristics – are being increasingly employed as reinforcing fibres for natural fibre composite materials,’ Mostböck says. The product is being used in car interior linings and rear window shelves.

Flaxx Chair is produced by Intier Automotive Eybl, a leading system supplier of covering components of car interiors.
