Korean product designer Minwoo Lee has created his first lounge chair, which he says will keep a memory of everyone who sits in it.
‘The chair is a furnishing very close to people,’ Lee says. ‘Of course the appearance and structure are important, but my primary goal was providing the ultimate comfort.’
Lee says the chair is the perfect architectural object that holds the history of human bodies. In the Klassiker design, he first studied the way people sit and the functionality of chairs. He then crafted the design of ashwood.
‘I wanted to give it a classical look within a modern structure,’ Lee recalls. ‘Klassiker offers comfort, has a durable structure and aesthetic beauty to bring an architectural element into lives.’
