Never Too Much by Kueng Caputo
Ever the provocateurs, Swiss designers Lovis Caputo and Sarah Kueng reutilise forgotten crafts. Colourfully complex stools, benches, lamps and bowls take on a Memphis-like aesthetic. The Never Too Much collection recently debuted at New York’s Salon 94 Freemans.
Kueng Caputo followed a multi-step process – focusing on one aspect at a time. Collaborating with dedicated craftsmen, the duo developed Never Too Much series to be as simple and provocative as possible. Dyed leather stretches over enamel bases – layers of coated metal create complex motifs. ‘The final result is as beautiful as the passing of time,’ Kueng explains.
