Frame’s forthcoming book showcasing a survey of works from the on-going project New Tribal Labyrinth by Atelier Van Lieshout (the internationally recognised studio of Dutch artist Joep van Lieshout), will be released on 14 January.

The book gives insight into the artworks of New Tribal Labyrinth, a series which has been steadily growing since 2010. New Tribal Labyrinth reflects on our extremely advanced and complex society, in which over-consumption and limited raw materials play a crucial role. The sculptures, machines, models and drawings in this group represent an alternative society in which industrial revolution has been restored.

Besides the works from the project New Tribal Labyrinth, this book also includes work from the project Slave City. The book – published in collaboration with GRIMM gallery – is richly illustrated showcasing not only the finished works but also how some of the pieces were made by the artist and his team in their studio.
