Presenting #FrameLive: our series of Zoom talks, workshops and webinars on post-pandemic design
Frame’s ethos of exploring how will we live, work, shop and relax in the future has never been more relevant than now. New technologies drive innovation at breakneck speed. Beyond that we find ourselves in the midst of an unprecedented period of global disruption thanks to the current COVID-19 crisis. How can we harness this moment to better address human needs and global issues from a design perceptive? From 14 May on, Frame tackles these questions during its first-ever edition of #FrameLive, held on Zoom.
We want to bring together the best and brightest in design – makers, creators and clients – to discuss and debate what the ‘new normal’ will look like for the industry and our everyday lives. As the vast majority of us have drastically changed the way we work and meet within a matter of weeks, we decided to host this series of events live and online, for the first time in Frame’s history.
What can you expect over the course of the next few weeks? Participate in a virtual workshop series with our Frame x Orgatec design challenge shortlisted studios and panelists, who will together develop their design concepts for the Agile Workplace 2.0. Tune in to our live talks series where we will discuss what’s in store for post-pandemic design in hospitality, retail, work and living with the likes of CBRE, D/DOCK, Concrete Architectural Associates, i29, Liganova and De Bijenkorf. Learn how to navigate the path ahead as we adapt to the world’s ‘new normal’.
Sign up, tune in and participate in our interactive virtual events programme throughout the summer of 2020, hosted by Frame founder Robert Thiemann. Keep an eye out: each week we will be making new announcements.
Agile Workplace 2.0 Virtual Workshop Series
Last autumn, Frame and Orgatec challenged today’s leading designers to conceive of what a truly agile workplace might look like, one in which workers have real control over how their environment looks, feels and functions. Now we’re inviting you to take part in a virtual workshop where the shortlisted teams road test their concepts against a panel of industry experts.
In this first Zoom event, HOK’s director of design Bill Bouchey and senior interior designer Mary Kate Cassidy will present their vision for an office interior that acknowledges the full spectrum of employee neurodiversity. They will be joined by a panel consisting of Brian Collins, Microsoft’s senior manager of real estate and facilities change management, Jeffrey Saunders, foresight expert and partner at management consultancy Behavioural Strategy, and Aidan Walker, head of content for Workplace Wellbeing Design Summit. Hosted by Robert Thiemann, Frame founder and director.
