On Saturday 30th September, Wysing Arts Centre hosted their annual music festival — Space-Time: Future. This is the first year that the festival has focussed primarily on women and the lineup featured an eclectic mix of female talent across the creative spectrum, including musicians, artists and bands. It was a heady day of music and art with live performances from Holly Herndon, Sue Tompkins, Yola Fatoush and WE.

Space-Time: The Future is an unusual offering, rarely does a festival combine music and art so effortlessly and so well. Like the musicians, the galleries exhibiting were some of the brightest on the scene and included Arcadia_Missa, Girls Like Us and Sex Shop. The two stages, named Gallery and Amphis played host to exciting musical performances including a punk ballad set from The Fucks, an electronic set from Karen Gwyer and a spoken word performance by Sue Tompkins.
