Romanian design is not always well publicized, but here is an apartment by Re-act Now Studio. It’s formal name is Apartment H but its creators refer to it as ‘The Thing’; most likely because of the bold use of colour in the interior. Located within a block of flats in Constanta on the Black Sea coast, the prime intention was to create an open space with a distinct beach-side feel. The interior is predominantly white and features a glass partition that separates the living area from the bathroom and bedroom. To add a touch of colour to the residence, coloured film – mainly used for small products and gadgets – has been stuck onto the glass. When the light hits the coloured film, continuously changing reflections give the apartment a sense of being alive.
