45°/vetrina by Ron Gilad for Molteni & C

Ron Gilad's designs for Molteni & C are currently featured in the Salvatore Ferragamo boutique windows.

This year the Israeli designer Ron Gilad, whose surreal world we dropped in on for Frame #90, is adding 45°/vetrina to his Grado° collection for Molteni & C.

Like much of Gilad’s conceptual work, the Grado° collection – a series of minimalist cabinets, bookcases, mirrors and shelves  –  plays with ideas of graphic abstraction and pure geometry.  45°/vetrina promises a continuation of these themes;  the tall cabinet appears like a museum vitrine, enclosing its user’s  precious contents  within a glass and thin metal frame.  The cabinet’s shelves can be glass, panels of wood veneer, or lacquered in primary colours.

The windows will be displayed in the windows of the Salvatore Ferragamo boutique on Via Montenapoleone, alongside a series of bags designed to complement Gilad's designs.

Molteni & C will also debut Filigree, a fixed and extendable table range by Rodolfo Dordini, at this year’s Salone.
