MUNICH – Becoming Swedish fashion brand Acne Studios' signature, a steel-clad store finds itself amid an urban landscape where innovation and tradition intersect.
The sleek concept seen in Seoul's Gangnam shopping district, New York's SOHO district and Berlin's Potsdamer Straße now arrives in Munich's Maximiliansplatz. The glow emanating from it's gleaming materials spills out onto the street through the building's neo-Gothic façade of large glass panes, doubling as a dynamic window display.
British designer Max Lamb continues conceiving Martian-like furniture pieces which sparsely decorate the sea of stainless steel surfaces like appetising marshmallows. Along the perimeter, a leaning full-length mirror coupled with minimal metal rods allow for flexible garment display and overall interior arrangement. Affixed to the exposed ceiling, one-off LED lights form a striking linear pattern while emphasising the extents on the space.
The Acne Studios store is now open at Maximiliansplatz 10 in Munich.
