What began as a drum for transporting oil now holds water, towels and rice. Empty of its contents, it can be used as a stove following natural disasters or other catastrophic events.

A warm towel and a hot meal can heal body and spirit, at least temporarily. Imamura sees her metal storage and transport drum as a means of proffering practical thermal relief to those struck by disaster, as well as to others attempting to survive in precarious conditions.
