Dining by Design 2013 Entrance by Input Creative Studio and Clark Gaynor Interiors

Input Creative Studio and Clark Gaynor Interiors created the entrance at Dining by Design.

DIFFA, Design Industries Foundation Fights AIDS, launched their annual tour of Dining by Design in New York. This event is the foundation´s  main fundraising platform. Input Creative Studio and Clark Gaynor Interiors worked together to create the entrance to the event.

Since the event is about fighting AIDS, the inspiration for the project was drawn from the illness. ´The entrance to DIFFA’s Dining by Design 2013 represents the journey of an AIDS victim; illustrated metaphorically through the “light at the end of the tunnel” that DIFFA’s efforts provide´, says Yiannos Vrousgos.

´The two hundred and seventy two light bulbs create an abstracted mirror above, making the cause relatable as viewers look up and see their own reflection. Powerful yet nostalgic, the design pulls one in to reflect, literally and figuratively, on the cause.´
