Hacke und Spitze by Holger Jahns

The inside of a changing room.

The Hacke und Spitze store in Berlin’s Kreuzberg resembles a ballroom, but, in this case, it’s the furniture that does the dancing. The Holger Jahns-designed store sells shoes and apparel for dancers of various genres; its name refers to the diversity of the footwear on display.

Storage cases propped on tripod legs are spread across the room in clusters, as if swaying around one another. These cases form the main display method for the wares in store.
