New York design outfit SOFTlab plays with experiential illumination at Sonos Studio in Los Angeles. Light House – made up of 600 fluorescent tubes – responds to audio emitted from Sonos speakers. The location – 'an acoustically designed gallery that celebrates music listening' – fits the project to a T.
Visitors – who can choose from an unlimited array of songs via the internet to see how the interactive installation reacts to their favourites – are able to fully immerse themselves in the work by experiencing it from within.
The exhibition will run until 25 August.
