A boutique hotel in a quiet location in Singapore has been designed by FARM studio with a monochromatic palette and an ethos that instils serenity and sensorial attributes.
With a common appreciation for nature, space, light and texture, the concept for Lloyd’s Inn – a 34-room boutique hotel in a quiet stretch of Singapore's shopping district, Orchard Road – is that of a holistic experience that captures the essence of what it means to stay at Lloyd's.
The interior has a minimalist design language. Stripped of any unnecessary ornamentations or symbolism, each room and the interlinking spaces are designed to celebrate the beauty of raw materials, such as concrete and timber, with unexpected touches of nature creeping in via huge skylights, intimate courtyards and double-height volumes that open to the sky.
