Ninety Minutes of Frame returns to Amsterdam's Pakhuis de Zwijger for its fifth edition on Thursday, December 18th. Nearly one year after Ninety Minutes made its debut, Frame invites you to celebrate this exciting milestone with an evening dedicated to design built to stand the test of time. Everlasting relevance may be an implied goal of every design endeavour, but are creators truly successful? Future Proof will dissect the role design must take on to satisfy society’s shifting needs.
The lecture will delve into the processes of generating ideas, objects and products which continue to serve a constantly-changing society. London-based design critic and author Alice Rawsthorn will give the keynote speech about society's needs from design. Art director and set designer Anna Lomax and Frame 102 cover artist will present a visual column about the importance of communication in design. Artist and philosopher Dr. Koert van Mensvoort will present research on his philosophical concept Next Nature. The evening will be moderated by design critic Jeroen Junte. Eindhoven-based food and concept designer Chloé Rutzerveld will make her Claim to Frame with her latest project Edible Growth.
Event details and speaker line-up are available on Ninety Minutes of Frame's website. Find announcements and live event updates on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
