After initially being asked to design the office's furniture, Stéphane Malka's assignment morphed into a full renovation of the headquarters for advertising agency Ogilvy & Mather, located on Paris' Champs-Élysées.
The re-haul of the 7,500-m-sq office was completed on a breakneck schedule and a budget of 2.2 million euro, requiring a quick, clear visual approach.
The designer highlighted the red of the company's logo, creating a bold palette with red and white strip lighting, and a wall of stacked, asymmetrical white boxes with semi-opaque red inserts. Nearby, blocks of glossy cubes emerge from the sleek red floor, creating a customizable landscape that's sure to evoke the child in even the most polished employees.
