Last weekend, Viktor & Rolf exhibited their fall-winter 2013 fashion collection in Paris. Studio Job was asked to design the stage set for them and the result suited the black and white collection perfectly.
Studio Job didn’t need much explanation to come up with this fitting design. ‘Viktor & Rolf invited us to design the set for their show again. Their briefing was : “Something with flowers”, accompanied with the :-) sign’, says Job Smeets.
Inspiration for the backdrop came up instantly. ‘Nynke thought of William Morris and I thought of Withered Flowers. Ready Freddy’, says Job Smeets. Their two initial thoughts put together made for a striking stage design. Or as Women’s Wear Daily put it, ‘It looked poetic and strangely beautiful'.
