Sliced Porosity Block by Steven Holl

Three water gardens and pavilions are inspired by the 'Three Valleys' of Fu Du's poem. The ponds also function as skylights.

CHENGDU – Last month, we posted a story on Frameweb about Sliced Porosity Block, a multi-use public square and residential complex by Steven Holl Architects in Chengdu, China. In two videos released by the studio, take an even closer look at this spectacular landmark. The videos were shot by the American architectural film studio Spirit of Space.
