Seven architects have been commissioned to create built structures at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The exhibition features structures installed in several locations across the museum. Brazilian architects Vazio S/A created a series of inter-connected booths set around a spiral staircase in the V&A’s Porter Gallery. The structure is a reference to Brazil’s high-density areas where people live in elevated dwellings. During the exhibition the structure is also used as a stage-set for theatre, dance and music. The exhibition 1:1 – Architects Build Small Spaces runs until 30 August, 2010.
