The Great Indoors Award is now accepting submissions of exceptional interior designs and installations for a biennial international award given by Frame Publishers, Marres and Bureau Europa.
This year's competition will give The Great Indoor Award to a winner from each of the competition's categories which include Show & Sell (retail), Concentrate & Collaborate (work), Relax & Consume (leisure) and Serve & Facilitate (public). Once assessed by an international jury, The Great Indoors Award will be given to four projects which raise the bar within the field of non-residiential interior design and foster a discourse within the profession.
In the competition's retail category Show & Sell, any kind of shop and showroom as well as trade-fair stands and exhibitions can be entered. Spaces which align with leisure including hotels, bars, clubs, restaurants, spas and wellness centres fit into the Relax & Consume category. Offices, studios, administration buildings and conference centres conducive to working environments are to be submitted within the Concentrate & Collaborate category. Serve & Facilitate includes any space which serves the general public, such as libraries, hospitals, theatres and schools.
Projects eligible for submission are innovative interior designs and installations realised in commercial and public spaces between September 2013 and August 2015. Once registered on The Great Indoors Award website, applicants may submit up to four projects with an online form. Read more about the submission guidelines here.
The submission deadline has been extended until Saturday 15 August 2015.
