Totemica by Luca Nichetto and Lera Moiseeva

Sucabaruca is a coffee set for Canadian brand Mjӧlk.

From 27 June until 16 September, visitors to Istituto Italiano di Cultura in Toronto, Canada, can see the process behind Luca Nichetto and Lera Moiseeva’s products for Mjölk.

Luca Nichetto teamed up with Russian-born designer Lera Moiseeva on designs for Canadian brand Mjӧlk that centre around consumption rituals. Sucabaruca – which was also exhibited during the Salone del Mobile – reflects Nichetto’s desire to unite the coffee-drinking cultures of the two cities in which he spends most of his time: Stockholm and Venice. The Aureola tea set, a collaboration with Canadian ceramist Alissa Coe, is being displayed for the first time during the Totemica exhibition.

Find out why Nichetto selected the designer as his New York-based collaborator – and see more of their combined efforts – in Frame 99, out 1 July.
