One tree sits in a four-metre-high mirror pavilion at the Oosterdokskade in Amsterdam, appearing as an endless forest. Mirrors surround the tree, and the resulting reflections make the space feel as if it goes on forever. ‘It’s a space with its own horizon, where you can flee the city in the middle of town’ says Hedwig Heinsman from DUS Architects. The Unlimited Urban Woods pavilion is part of the festival Liefde in de Stad (Love in the City). Paradiso commissioned artists to design love-provoking art pieces in the public domain of Amsterdam. The Unlimited Urban Woods pavilion can be visited each day from 10:00 till 22:00, until June 28th.
